Copper/Brass Radiators
As old school as it can possibly get. In recent history, several major off-highway manufacturers have dropped their copper brass product lines, in most cases with some regret. Despite what some aluminum suppliers may say about it, when it comes to performance, durability, and overall efficiency, it is the king in the off-highway realm.
When you consider that the Jacket Water cooling is the foundation of every machine cooling system design, it remains every bit as relevant today as it will in the future. Customers want their machines to deliver power to the ground and ultimately higher productivity while consuming less fuel on the cooling fan. Lower operating costs, less fan noise, and better for the environment.
Cost can be a drawback as compared to aluminum but not always. JMC has continued new product development in copper brass, including locomotive style mechanical bond cores and high-efficiency automotive type cores for generators, military vehicles, and trucks. JMC uses its own blend of solder metallurgy, developed with the help of Ames Lab, which became the world standard in lead-free solder for the electronics industry.
