Charge Air Coolers
Charge air coolers, also known as intercoolers, are heat exchangers used in internal combustion engines, typically in turbocharged or supercharged engines, to cool the compressed intake air before it enters the engine cylinders.
Charge air cooler work by passing compressed air through a heat exchanger that uses a coolant, such as water or air, to reduce the air temperature before it enters an engine.
Charge air coolers are commonly used in diesel engines or high performance gasoline engines.
